Sopot lift is a unique place. Really special for Bulgaria, Balkan peninsula and maybe Europe. Here is why: 1.It is one of not many places for paragliding 2.The lift serves the paragliders. It is not working during the winter. 3.The landing spot for paragliding is a huge lawn. You can play with dogs and kids there too or just enjoy the sunshine 4.There is an ice cream shop. Made by organic ingredients. Coffee is highly reccomendable. 5. There is also a swimming pool. At the time I a was at Sopot lift, the pool was not working. But I took a look and i found place very good looking and attrating to me for the next summer 6. It is unbeliavable that you can take the lift go to the top of the mountain a have a fantastic, really amazing view to northern Bulgaria and south Bulgaria, since Stara planina (Balkana) divides Bulgaria on south and north parts. 7.Or go for super walk on the Balkana ridge. Please do not underestimate this mountain. Be well dressed and expect winds. Sopot lift is а very easy accesible from the west end of the Sopot town. Parking lot is relatively small. There was a restaurant but i did not visit it so no opinion. There were some constructions so i beleive more places for tourists will there be for the next year. So ...just go.

Lift Sopot in Bulgaria is a unique and thrilling experience that you won't soon forget. This giant elevator shaft leads up the side of a tall mountain, providing stunning views of the surrounding area as it climbs higher and higher over the course of the trip. As you make your way up the elevator, you'll see the countryside stretching out before you, and you'll be able to take in the breathtaking beauty of the Bulgarian landscape. The trip takes about 15 minutes to complete, and by the time you reach the top, you'll have seen things you never thought possible. At the top of the elevator, you'll find an observation deck where you can take in the sights and get a better appreciation of the incredible views you've seen on your climb. You can even take a short hike to the top of the mountain for even more breathtaking views. Overall, Lift Sopot is an amazing experience that offers a unique way to see the beauty of the Bulgarian countryside. It's a thrill that you won't soon forget, and it's definitely worth a trip if you're in the area. Whether you're a thrill-seeker, a nature lover, or just looking for an exciting adventure, this is one experience you won't want to miss!

This is a very impressive mountain lift that goes up 1000 meters and the journey from the first station to the second station which is located about 1500 meters above sea level takes over 20 minutes. In the future two more higher stations are planned and then it will probably be one of the longest in Europe, if not the longest. The view from the top is wonderful and a starting point for several routes. The ticket price is cheap and the attitude is kind and friendly. The problem is that the elevator is only activated when there is a group of more than 10 people so it is difficult to predict how long you will have to wait. At 9:00 in the morning at the opening there is usually a group and then you have to ask and find out that you won't get stuck returning. Of course, there is also a descent path of about an hour.

Oh wow where do I star with this one. Easily could be a scary ride in theme park.

The lift is probably from 60s or 70s, does not have like any other lift some sort of retardation in the point where you hop on or off.

The result is the the chair slams you right in the back and if you are not careful and have a hand or anything behind you might get it fractured. It's not even exaggeration.

The for the duration of the ride the lift stopped 14 times, yes 14 time in a single direction. For the round trip probably was over 20 times in total. The chair start to wobble and some of the towers it shakes like hell.

This lift and whoever operates it belongs to the past not to 2025, honestly it is ABYSMAL.

Then it stops like hour and a half to the starting point of the treks as the third station is never going to be operational again, and you have to climb 30-40 incline sections. So by the time you reach hut Dobrila you are knackered and it's almost noon, so it limits your daily range.

It is total joke should be shut down like 30 years ago it is safety...
