Исторически музей – Тутракан е открит през 1993г в "Теодоровата къща". Експозицията на Исторически музей – Тутракан разкрива славната близо 20 вековна история на града На три етажа се проследява хронологически развитието на тутраканския край от древността до освобождението от румънска окупация през 1940г.

В археологическата експозиция са изложени находки от V хилядолетие пр.н.е., тракийска керамика, експонати от античната крепост Трансмариска, създаването и величието й, идването на прабългарите и славяните и изграждането на крепостта Тутракан от времето на Първото и Второто българско царство.

Музеят разполага и с уникална иконна експозиция от възрожденски икони от Тутраканската духовна околия и снети от църковна употреба старопечатни книги и църковна утвар. Иконите са дело на майстори зографи от Тревненската...
