Do not waste your time or money to visit this place. We waited for more than 20 minutes after the "tour" was scheduled for a specific time to start. We were on time but not the "guide". It is a quiet and out of season day.

The boy who was our "guide" had no enthusiasm or great knowledge to share with us as a small group, and it felt like we were a big inconvenience to his day as he rushed us through the cave. The whole tour inside the cave wasn't even 15 minutes. The little he spoke, we couldn't really hear what he said as he mumbled a lot. He left an elderly gentleman behind, where my husband and I decided to assist him as there was no compassion from anyone else. The senior gentleman was active and could bend and walk to see everything in the cave, but just not as fast as the others in the group - and this was made clear on the boy's face that he got irritated by this. What happened to respect for the elderly??? We were not even allowed to explore the cave at our own leisure (within reason as a tour is scheduled to start every hour) as it was clear by the attitude of the guide. He understood English perfectly well, but was not willing to accommodate for English speaking tourists.

The toilet (WC) by the ticket office was filthy and stinks A LOT.

The only reason why we give 1 star is because the cave itself is beautiful.

Not worth paying 15 lev per adult. It is a disgrace for the service...

This is my 11 time visiting the cave, and by far, the most depressing one. Thanks to all efforts to improve the experience, the effect is quite the opposite. At the alleyway leading to the cave, there is a bunch of vendors selling cheap souvenirs, which, combined with the strong smell of barbecued food and stale beer, creates a sense of a cheap flea market area. The cave itself is a good place for the whole family, although the kids under 4-5 will probably start crying at the beginning of the tour. The local council department responsible for the cave needs to look at all various pieces of lights and equipment left over in the past 40 years. Also, the little lake in the concert chamber is completely ruined. I am not sure what was wrong with the guide either. He was very polite and extremely uninterested in anything to do with the cave. The very few facts he mumbled in front of the group did not revive his enthusiasm, and the whole group of around 30 was left to wonder around the staircases on their own free will asking each other different questions about the cave and helping each other to different galleries. I felt more informed about the place than our own guide and also slightly stupid that I paid fairly expensive tickets to listen to my own voice in front...

It was very interesting to see the cave. I think the tours are every hour with a tour guide giving explanations in the cave. They've added lights everywhere and it looks pretty and mysterious. Don't forget to get warm clothes cause it's around 0 degrees Celsius in there all year long. There are lower parts and some people didn't feel very comfortable passing through. I wouldn't say they were tight or that low, bit I'm generally shorter. I was disappointed to see a very large group in there given the current situation. Not everyone was asked to wear a mask either. The park seemed nice. It seems there were supposed to have other attractions but I couldn't tell where exactly apart form a kids playground very close to the entrance of the cave. Talking about that, it seems they had constructed something there that collapsed and now you have to go around to the entrance of the...

It is amazing cave! Of you are in the area of Vratsa and love adventures, make sure you have 2 hours to visit Ledenika. Tours start at every hour and takes 50 mins to see the whole cave (depending on the group size). It is spectacular with all the rock formations in the halls and the small tunnels you go through (no one alerts you about it, but this place is pretty hard for a big person as some tunnels in the last 2/3 of the cave are so narrow, that some large people just can't pass them). First two galleries are pretty much accessible to anybody. Another recommendation is to have loose pants and good shoes. It is slippery there Overall it is a great experience.

Very interesting place for people who appreciate such things. Guide was very friendly but English is bit of a challenge. This is a must visit for people who love natural history and geology. It is also very interesting for people who enjoy dabbling in mythological history, as the caves offers a number of mythological tales and connections. The drive to the place is also very scenic. Not sure if public transport reaches the place. For some reason there are no immediately available toilets. The staff send you uphill towards the kiosks outside while kiosk operators send you to the building outside the Caves...
