Second time in that cave, as beautiful as always. For those who haven't visited it yet - you totaly should! Please be aware of that one guide I had the "pleasure" to have a head on collision with. We entered the cave, there was some strange talking about feeding the bear with apparently the "unpleasant" visitor. Some weird humor...ignored that. We get in, at some point someone from the back took a picture to the guides opinion. I neither saw a flash, nor heart a noise from one, nor when I turned there was someone holding their phone. The guide decided to get their attention by flashing with his extremely strong flashlight TWICE.I was infront of the guy and was trying to do quietly my own thing. I have a nerve damage to one of my pupils and when it contracts rapidly I feel strong shooting pain. Ok, ignored that too. We reach a stalamite that looks like a hen and he makes a misogynistic joke that she is a laying hen and the rooster isn't present as his role is to dig and pocke the eggs only once in a while. Most of the goup (strangers I saw for the first time in my life) laughed and I decided they're not my crowd so I fell behind. After 10 min everyone comes back to the big gallery I stayed in and the guide comes and asks me why I didn't join the group, have I visited before. I said they were loud enough so I was able to hear everything (unfortunately true). He continues and comes closer speaking in my face and I ask why does he want to know that. He stops for a little bit. I had a UV light (strongly recommend to try in a cave) and was trying to see the glowing calcite and see if there are other interesting rocks. At this point he again comes very closely in my face to ask if I'm searching for gems he doesn't know of. He was intimidating, sarcastic and arogant and that's why I told him straight in the face "No, I'm trying to get rid of you!" He laughed and said that I can't as he has to be the last one out as a guide. We were at our 10 min guide free time partvof the tour. When we came outside he could go and leave us alone, instead he started making weird comments for the mosquitos and how they drink blood and how we need a repelant and I told him that I only forgot the repelant for unpleasant people. He went on why am I so rude and bad behaved... There were other things, but those describe it enough. My point is, if you are visiting for the first time - don't rely on the guide and get informed about the history and what you're to see beforehand. I don't remeber the previous guide, I rarely pay attention to such as I enjoy exploring on my own. This dude like wanted deliberately to be in my face and nothing was able to set a boundary he will respect. Like if someone from the group didn't like him his ego couldn't handle it. Strongly recommend UV light and glasses for it as there is a lot of phosphorescent calcite, other beautiful forms could be seen and on a couple of sediments you can like write by moving...
Read moreBeautiful! Camera/pictures can’t fully highlight the beauty! The surroundings of the cave gives the feeling of a garden park;fresh air! We arrived and parked the car in the free parking area. Then we walked for about two minutes—or even less—and reached the ticket office. The first person we saw didn’t speak English, but within 30 seconds, another man appeared who did speak English. He seemed like the manager or someone in charge and told us we could enter.
We went in without paying and without a tour guide. After about 23 minutes, we came out and were then asked to pay . After paying in cash,we asked the English-speaking man if he could tell us a bit about the cave, and here is the information he shared: • The cave has 99% humidity. • The temperature inside was 8°C. • It is 250 meters long. • It features stalactites and stalagmites. • There is 1 cm of growth between them, which takes approximately 150 years to form. • The cave was opened to the public 56 years ago. • It is 3.5 million years old. • It was discovered by two brothers.
FYI: 1)Close to the free parking area, there’s few covered areas to sit and eat. (2)Before entering the cave, there is toilet by the other side of the cave entrance once you pass the ticket office and come down the stairs. 3) Working hours Or 01.01. 10.30.09. 9,00am-1800(6pm) Last entry into the site 17,30(5:30pm) Or01.10.10 31.03, 9,00am- 17, 00 (5pm) Last entry into the site at 16,30(4:30pm) 3)You pay only in cash as of...
