Rusizi River Park, Burundi – Trip Review I recently visited Rusizi River Park in Burundi, and it was a nice experience, especially for wildlife enthusiasts. The park is not very large, but it offers a unique opportunity to see crocodiles and hippos in their natural habitat, which is quite thrilling. I went there in November, and the visit lasted about an hour. Even though the park is small, the scenic views of the river and surrounding nature make the short trip worth it. The staff and guides were helpful, ensuring a safe and informative visit. This is a perfect spot for a quick getaway or a family outing, especially if you enjoy nature and wildlife. I would recommend visiting at least once to experience the impressive animals up close and enjoy the peaceful river surroundings. Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

The National Park of Rusizi is the closest national park to the economic capital city Bujumbura. And the park itself is traversed by one of the largest river In Burundi called the Rusizi River . In that national park you can enjoy a diversified environment on an affordable price plus a guide and see the large population of hippopotamuses...

Great place to see rhinos and many water birds. Boat rides are avaliable. The rates are different if you do not speak French. Not too much. I got charged BF 35000 for a walk in the park. However the ranger was kind enough to provide me with waterproof knee lengh shoes which is...
