Another interesting building I discovered while exploring Grand Bassam. It also has an intriguing story of how it came to be. I believe it would be better if such historical building are protected rather then left at the mercy of the weather...

Signs or information would be useful here. If you want to learn something, you need to find a local guide and have them walk you through Grand Bassam to explain all of the buildings. Otherwise, it is difficult to figure out what...

Another interesting building I discovered while exploring Grand Bassam. It also has an intriguing story of how it came to be. I believe it would be better if such historical building are protected rather then left at the mercy of the weather to dilapidate.

Bien datant de 1920 et construit par un ressortissant du Ghana. Il est plus tard acquis par M. Ganamet, un grand commerçant libano-syrien qui y apporte plusieurs modifications. Inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO comme tous les autres bâtiments qu quartier, il fait parti des biens exceptionnel du site. Malheureusement, il est dans un très mauvais état et disons qu'il repose là, que sur la végétation qui le maintien encore debout. Toutefois, c'est cette touche qui lui apporte ce côté un peu unique.
