Pyramid — Attraction in Le Plateau

The Pyramid è un grattacielo situato nel comune di Plateau Abidjan e progettato dall'architetto italiano Rinaldo Olivieri (Verona 1931-1998). La sua costruzione iniziò nel 1968 e fu completata nel 1973.

È uno degli edifici più noti della conurbazione di Abidjan per la sua architettura innocua e per essere uno dei primi grattacieli costruiti nell'Altopiano, al tempo del miracolo ivoriano. Ha al piano terra diversi spazi per negozi e aziende. L'edificio, d'altro canto, si è considerevolmente deteriorato a partire dagli anni '90 ed è diventato malsano e pericoloso durante gli anni 20001.

Un ampio programma di ristrutturazione della Piramide è stato annunciato dal governo ivoriano nel 2011 attraverso un'offerta di partnership pubblico-privato. Si prevede che il costo della ristrutturazione raggiunga i 18 miliardi di franchi CFA e mira a rendere la Piramide un punto turistico.

Il est un des immeubles les plus connus de l'agglomération abidjanaise pour son architecture peu anodine et pour être un des premiers édifices de grande hauteur construits au Plateau, à l'époque du miracle ivoirien. Il dispose au rez-de-chaussée de plusieurs espaces pour des boutiques et des commerces. Le bâtiment s'est en revanche considérablement dégradé à partir des années 1990 et est devenu insalubre et dangereux pendant les années 20001.

Un programme de rénovation complète de la Pyramide a été annoncé par le gouvernement ivoirien en 2011, via une offre de partenariat public-privé. Le coût de la rénovation est prévu à hauteur de 18 milliards de francs CFA, et a pour objectif de faire de la Pyramide un point touristique

It is one of the best-known buildings in the Abidjan conurbation for its harmless architecture and to be one of the first high-rise buildings built in the Plateau, at the time of the Ivorian miracle.
