Tuka Marine Park and Beach Resort ☀️🏊♂️💦 The place was nice though it isn't fully developed yet it is still commendable. The marine park is 20-30 minutes boat away from the community so you better stack up yourselves with baon and all the basic things that you need. There is no restaurant and the store you will find there only offers the basic amongst all the basic things you can buy (soap, shampoo, cup noodles etc...). They have rooms for overnight stay which I prefer over tent or hammock if you want to keep yourselves away from falling objects like coconuts. Apparently they (management) won't be held responsible if accident like this happens. So security and comfort is important and our utmost priority. Lastly, always check the weather condition before going. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too cooperative when we visited the place. It was windy and low tide. There is no port on the island so when it is low tide, the passengers need to walk the coral reefs around waistline high water (so you gonna go soaking wet just after you arrived). It's corals so the surface or edges are too sharp! Plus the wind was too strong, too wavy making it very hard to walk to the shore. Almost all of the passengers have cut themselves just before they landed to the shore due to the sharpness of the corals. They do have first aid available on the island so I guess this is a normal happenings already. Just learn from our mistakes. Check the weather! Regardless of the bad experiences we had just before we reached the island, the overall experience was good. You just have to appreciate the untouched beauty of nature, the solitude away from the busy streets of the metro, the serenity of the place and the courtesy of the staff who stays there. I mean, the bad experience happens when you don't plan ahead. We still got the opportunity to witness the beauty of the island or Marine Park Sanctuary when it started to go high tide. When the water reached the white sand so you don't have to go far and encounter the reefs and cut yourselves (again). When the wind wasn't too strong you get to enjoy yourself snorkeling and watch the beauty of the sea and what it offers down below. Regrettably we don't have a Go pro to show you the fishes and corals underwater so I guess we'll do that another time. So that's it! Pack up and enjoy yourselves! Take a vacation and unwind. PS: more info on Shone-Lee Avila's post. 😘

Very nice place. If you're into nature tripping this place is a must go. The local government of this place is serious about protecting their environment, at the port you are to deposit 200 pesos and you can only claim it once you bring back your non biodegradable waste. Water is scarce in the place as it is a must to bring your own water supply. You can wash at the port in case Tuka ran out of water. You can cook and bring food at the venue and I really appreciated the Halal grill station though I am a Christian. I heard there will be more developments soon and I look forward to visiting the place again.

A natural wonder in Sarangani. This place is actually a natural beach cove beside a steep mountain. You can already touch the corals in about 10 meters from the beach. Curious fishes living in the corals will actually head near the beach to check the visitors. There are dangers of snakes and nearby sharks but it is much worth while to go here and experience untouched nature. Also, network coverage is very weak or none at all here which is a big plus! :)

What I love in this place is that it is not fully developed. You get to enjoy and feel what Mother Nature has to offer as to what it is. There is electricity and a store to buy your needs. It is hard to get a signal for those who need the internet but that is okay because it encourages you to put down your phone and just relax and enjoy snorkeling or just to feel the breeze of the sea.

A day trip isn't enough in this resort. You need to at least have a night or two nights. You need to bring your own food, water and charcoal for grilling your food. They have lots of grill around for cooking. Before going to the boat, wear your swimming clothes already because you will get wet up until your chest especially when the waves are so strong.

Tuka is special because it's composed of 4 coves. Cove 2 is a no touch zone because of the table corals that are beautiful and are protected. This marine park has been spotted with parrot fishes and great for snorkelling and diving. Also now, they have a new feature... the trek!
