Honestly a very pleasant border crossing experience! We took the train to this border from Bangkok and it literally costed $1.50 for the 5 hours journey!

When we arrived we didn't know what to expect, but we were quickly surprised by how smooth everything went!

You can get a visa on arrival, which costs $37 USD and you can only pay in USD, but I definitely recommend coming with an e visa to avoid waiting in long lines.

Now to enter even with an e visa, you do need to print all of your documents to include copies of your vaccination cards and copies of your passport!

Other than that extremely fast and like most border towns, the moment you exit you will be hassled by some many taxis and vans.... all I can say is good-luck!

Don't come here if you want to return to Thailand on the same day. They won't allow it! I didn't know and I managed to get the permission but it took lots of convincing and proof. I had a solid reason and I had a car parked at the Thai side of the border so returning by airplane from Siem Reap wasn't an option. I kindly showed the lady my car key and then she understood.

I honestly don't understand why they won't allow people to just return immediately. Even my multiple entry visa didn't make it easier. They should at least put up a sign. I knew about the scams here and i politely told the officer my visa is only $30 and not 100 baht. He was angry but he can't make me pay it but when my thai girlfriend went through, they made her pay the 100 baht just because they knew she's with me.
