From the moment you leave the main Chi Phat road you know immediately that this isn't going to be a normal experience in the best way possible. After twisting through jungle roads that are almost certainly not for bikes for a few kilometres, a jungle oasis opens up with the bungalows, Kiri, & Doc (both pictured) waiting to greet you, one significantly more warmly than the other!). Our human guide Born was chatty & informative from the outset & throughout, and the Release Station rangers despite varying levels of english were all incredibly friendly & accommodating of our incessant curiosity & photo taking. Whilst we were on holiday, they were not, and it was refreshing to see them just get on with their work & not need to dress up what they were doing - it was a genuinely authentic experience. We stayed two nights. You will get the chance to do the feeding rounds in the morning & evening, as well as the night feeding if there are any pangolin at the station - go on every one of these that you can. There will be a hike that you can go on with the ranger/s & your guide, and if the weather is behaving a quick walk to a sunset viewing spot in the evenings - just do everything that you possibly can whilst here. It is all incredible, and I'm still pinching myself as I type about it now. Water & food are provided, with the latter being whipped up by one of the Release Station staff & being significantly better than anything you've ever paid for in a restaurant. It's expensive on paper, but the money all goes into the Release Station and as such is worth every cent.

The release station was the best experience we ever had. We were tracking through the jungle, feeding animals, spent time with the locals to learn a lot about animals as well as about why they work there and also a lot about cambodia itself thanks to the great keepers and our touguide! You can expect the most peaceful nights ever with no sounds except animals and jungle sounds. The bungalows are pretty nice, of course, do not expect luxury in the common way, but the nature is even more beautiful. The food they prepared for us was the best and most authentic food in whole cambodia and it was absolutely delicious. Even the way we got to the camp was a fun motobike ride through the jungle. The keeper and guide also took us up a hill to see the sunset - just stunning and beautiful. Overall, it is great to see what has been built up there, lovely and friendly people and we will def come again if we are in cambodia. BTW: we named the Oriental Pied Hornbill that stays at the station and often follows you (and you can even cuddle with her) Miss Keisha - please try to continue that naming :)

An amazing experience visiting rescued animals near Chi Phat but organized via the Wildlife Alliance. Accommodation is basic Bungalows with bathroom, bug net and solar lights and charger as the station is off the grid. Animals are brought here to prep them for release into the surrounding forest where they can be tracked. We saw several different hornbills, pangolins, sun bears and gibbons. Some of the released hornbills hang around the camp and are friendly and easy to photograph. There are also wild monkeys, deer, porcupine and tons of birds. This was some of the best wildlife watching we had in Cambodia. The journey to the Release Station is a scary motorbike ride is a rough track. Included meals were excellent and it was fun getting to know the local guides. Worth taking the journey to this out of the way location.

Unlimited stars! For a natural experience in the jungle and away from mobile network and city life.

This is a truly special place. The communication from the booking team was helpful and clear.

The station staff were so kind and helpful and all local to the village of Chi Phat. This is a very basic but comfortable experience in the jungle with wildlife right next to you.

It’s made all the more comfortable and welcoming by the staff who feel like a family, with really big hearts. They can’t do enough to look after you. They are so thankful that you chose to visit and make your donation to the endangered animals in their care. They love their work and the animals very much. The keepers and guides are mostly reformed hunters who have learnt how to use their brilliant skills to protect the land and animals instead now they have been given this valuable opportunity to make a living and better understand the ecological impact to support the endangered animals. There are some wonderful things to do apart from rest and learn about the land and animals such as watch the feeding, sunset walk and view, look at the trap camera images and jungle trek. The motorbike journey to the station from the village is a great start to the adventure. Small amounts of animals near and far walk around outside as well which are special to see.

This charity are running amazing projects across Cambodia and making a very special impact small and great. The impact on local people is a key aim alongside rehabilitating, supporting or releasing the animals, so your money is even more well used. Thank you Wildlife Alliance Release...

We have just completed an amazing trip to the Wildlife Alliance near Chi Phat and had once of the best experiences we could have imagined. I would recommend visiting to everyone - to see the animals that are being rehabilitated and see the care that the staff give to them to help them be ready for release felt like a wonderful privilege and is the best part of our trip to Cambodia.

The communication beforehand was perfect and we knew exactly where to come to and all the instructions were very clear. Mr Born was our local guide and he looked after us incredibly well. He was kind and looked after us all the time making sure that we were happy and safe. He had lots of information about all the animals and communicated with the keepers so we could learn. Mr Born was an excellent cook and made us lovely local food that was fresh and delicious and we were very healthy.

The animal keepers Mr Sun, Mr Wan and Mr Lee all took special care of the animals and their dedication to their work is amazing. They were also very happy and made us feel welcome at their place.

If you get chance I would recommend to come to visit. You will see so many amazing animals all being perfectly cared for, feel welcome by all the staff and you will...
