Phnom Khiev Waterfall — Attraction in Pailin Municipality

My visit to the waterfall on June 29th, 2024, was a mixed experience. The journey there was smooth, with well-maintained roads and ample parking available. The food vendors offered delicious meals at affordable prices, which was a definite highlight.

However, the waterfall itself was a bit underwhelming due to the low water levels and muddy conditions. The weather was also quite warm, which made for a less refreshing experience than I had hoped for.

A lot of good things are seen in this trip. I have been here for many years ago when road were so much bumpy and hardly drive up to the mountain. Now is completely different. There is a huge road connect the mountain tip to the national road. I could smell and see beautifully planted flower along the road and at the stop point which is quite spectacular. A very pleasant spot. Walking the couple of kilometers up to the falls through the jungle from the entrance makes for a more 'immersive' experience than driving up, hearing the sounds of nature.
