Mount Cameroon National Park — Attraction in Mbonge

I visited Mount Cameroon National Park recently, and I must say it was an absolutely breathtaking experience. The stunning views and expansive landscapes left me in awe at every turn. The sheer beauty and grandeur of the park are unparalleled, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Hiking up Mount Cameroon was an adventure of a lifetime. The diverse flora and fauna along the trail added to the magical experience, with each step offering a new and captivating sight. The feeling of accomplishment upon reaching the summit was truly incomparable, and the panoramic views from the top were nothing short of spectacular.

The opportunity to witness the sunrise from such a vantage point is something I will never forget. The play of light and shadow on the landscape below was mesmerizing and made the early morning start well worth it. The cool, crisp mountain air and sense of tranquility up there made me feel connected to nature in a way I hadn't experienced before.

Mount Cameroon is likely to be the worst managed mountain in Africa. Visitors - including "eco" guides - leave plastic trash and whiskey sachets all over the place, most trails are poorly maintained, and the tourism organization is nightmarish, with highly incompetent guides, non-existent safety standards, and an absent management team.
