A short hike, about a 1/4 km., in from the road to the falls (actually a series of small water falls) along the a trail that is the old Devil’s Hill Road to Terra Nova. After visiting the falls it is worth a walk further to where the country open up as the views are wonderful, especially in the fall. The trail was in good walking condition in the fall of 2012 when we were last there.
The story of Devil's Hill falls is that Devil's Hill Road, the road that runs along the side of the stream that becomes the falls, was named because a gentleman met the Devil on his way home from Mira Ferry one night after a dance in the late 19th century.

The trail goes down quite rough all the way. On the lower portion ropes are attached on trees to help out. If rainy it does get very slippery and muddy so make sure you have the right trail gear for the hike back up.
