I visited the sunflower maze yesterday (Sept 6 2025) and I highly recommend!

Due to the smoke and the sun going behind a cloud, it wasn’t possible to get sunset photos after around 7:15pm. There is one good section of sunflowers and of that section, about half are wilted due to our sudden extreme heat.

Regardless, I managed to get many good photos and recommend to visit ASAP before the season ends (the owner, John said that they might close a bit earlier this year).

As per another review, bring mosquito spray if you visit in the evening, as well as a sweater as the temperature gets cold fast. I also recommend running shoes as the dirt path is dusty. If you are doing a photo shoot and need to wear sandels/dress shoes, then definitely bring wet wipes, your feet WILL get dirty!

In addition to the sunflower maze, there is a small area with farm animals and a kids’ playground. There are lot’s of areas to take photos (photoshoots) with backdrops (seating areas, old trucks, wagons with flowers etc.)

There is no water etc. available for purchase, so definitely take water with you if you plan to stay a long time.

Lot’s of fun for families and even single people who want to take photography or just get away...

A very cool experience. I expected a sunflower maze in a field but they actually had multiple sunflower mazes to walk through. They also had live stock, a "pick your own" garden which you can pick and take home what youd like (we've had fresh veggies ever since our visit), a tree maze, a corn maze, a flower maze and overall a nice property to walk about. The staff are super friendly and informative, the on site bathrooms may look like "outhouses" from the outside but they're actually modernized on the inside and I'll say i was quite impressed with that. Bring your family and friends, I went in a group of 4 adults. We all had a great time and even checked out the farmers market in...

When I went to this place I had a bit more execution on how well kept the Mazes and plant life would be, but when I arrived the mazes and flowers were very unkept. Lots of rotting plant life, very confusing signs that display that your heading into a maze but ends up not be a maze at all. Also no one watches anyone so people trample over the plant and leave them dead and squished.

They do have a opportunity for you to pick your own crops though which is cool but a lot of it was already picked or dead.

They also "have" say that they have animals that you can go close up to but there were only a couple bird species.

Overall experience wasn't the greatest but maybe a kid would...

Such a beautiful sunflower maze! I would highly recommend keeping an eye on their website of when the sunflowers are in full bloom and to go during that period of time to ensure you get a glance at the flowers full beauty. There's also an area that you can pick your own veggies! From carrots, potatoes, onions an cucumbers. On top of that, the sunmaze is also dog friendly! As long you keep your furry friend on a leash. The staff were super friendly and explained the sunmaze really well for first visitors. Overall, definitely a great mini-getaway with family and friends to enjoy nature in its purest form. And of course, it is an beautiful backdrop for all your photography needs.
