Coal Lake — Attraction in Alberta

Spent a lot of time kayaking, boating and fishing here in the summer months. Beautiful lake with decent Pike fishing on the south side. I haven’t caught anything but pike here. Some spots hold 12 inch pike others I’ve caught 27-30” pike. Usually catch 15 pike or so in a couple hours, some days less, some more.

Coal lake is really nice. Great for non motorized watercraft. There are some boats on it but it is very narrow and fairly shallow. Much better for non motorized. There is a nice campground on the south side but it is not on the water. There are no hook ups. But it's nicely treed in...

Beautiful place! Love the trails on both side of the highway, some really good trails if you keep following along the lake some you will need a decent set of m/t or a/t tires to get through some spots lots of mud lots of ATVs and dirtbikes out there have to watch on the...
