Stunning and beautiful park with a river and many places to explore.I noticed fishermen at the river so maybe good for fishing.I seen kids swimming near edge of river bank and this being the badlands it is desert like conditions and has cacti growing with pretty flowers Growing around.Bring your camera bring a lunch you will want to spend a bit of time there.There is a road which goes almost all the way to river with parking for about 20 cars,I saw signs about wet and rainy conditions and not to go down the road it is quite steep And I doubt you'd get back up if it rained,forget about driving down in winter I bet it's closed for winter season but still could park at top and walk down.There is cool history to this place so worth reading up on before heading there and picturing what once used to happen there for thousands of years,I won't give it away but I'm sure park name will...

Read moreWe loved the scenery. It was like a mini Grand Canyon.The topography is beautiful. There are many trails. They were not marked , but easy to go any which way and not lose our way back to the parking lot. The toilets , picnic tables and fire pits were well taken care of. We went the first week of June 2021. And all the wild flowers were in bloom. The cacti and Juniper were thriving. We spoke to a couple of people,boating and paddle boarding down to the bridge about 15 km down stream. They mentioned how much they loved floating and paddling their way down and that it took about 2 to 2.5 hrs. I think we might bring our canoe next trip and take a paddle ourselves!
