The campground itself is nice, deep forest, fresh water spouts were abundant and pretty much unstaffed.... That's the problem there's one ranger, we found the other guests to be incredibly noisy and inconsiderate and barking dogs at all hours. The outhouses were tidy but the main bathrooms, not so much and....PAY SHOWERS?!? WHAT?!?? I need to pay a lot to be here already and now I need to feed the showers loonies?!? Come on get real! The beach was fine but the beach head at the water smelled of something funky and needs to be cleaned up Bigtime it's disgusting. Luckily the water was pretty clear when we went and lots of people were swimming. The cottages along the other side were BLASTING music all night, I wasn't sure if we were in a provincial park or a rock concert. Overall 2/5, park has so much potential but that beach needs some serious TLC and the pay showers are utterly disgraceful.

I really liked this park, is old growth forest so the smell is interesting. The sites are very private we stayed in #7 I found it was quite close to the front sites tho and the people there were somewhat loud at night, but good thing the park has a conservation officer driving there in the evening and it made me feel safe, he was responding to other’s complaints and seemed like he was doing a very good job. The beach was nice and clean, the water not the best but also not the worst. I took note of some of the better sites if we decide to go back. I would come back I liked it. The kids liked it too. Small park but nice. The downside is that the bathrooms are not kept that clean and tidy and you also have to PAY for showers at this park.

Ok. So. It's a fine campground. Half the sites are no power. They have a mix of giant sites to super small. Great for multiple families to camp in the same site or store your boat. There is a good amount of trees between the site and most are pretty private. Most. Some sites are along the range road with less trees. But. If I'm going to have to pay $1 for a shower it would be greatly appreciated if they were clean or operational. It was a bit of a mess with waiting with one shower down of 3 total. It is mostly an unstaffed campground. There is a large beach and a boat launch. They are separated. You can launch a little boat and kayaks and such from the beach adjacent to the boat launch. It has a generous parking lot.

I have been a cabin owner for over 30 yrs ..grew up going to the lake ..I was totally disgusted by the thistle and growth in the shoreline ..duck and seagull poop. Small trail to get into the water !! Next to no sand like the beach used to have ..what happened to raking the sand and taking out all the weeds at the swimming area..this is suppose to be a provincial park !!. Looks and smells like a waste site ..no wonder blue green algae was reported for the last couple of yrs. Our lake is also being drained by lake front cabin owners with waterlines in the lake ..they use it for gardens and watering their lawns that are full of fertilizer. Where does it drain into the lake? Complaints were logged last year zero was done ..maybe we should start with taking our taxes down. Paying to have a cottage with a swamp for a lake ..Shame on Alberta Parks..the environment Minister and the UCP MLA for...
