I LOVE this hike. I've gone 6 times in all seasons with all types of hikers, including my 11 and 13 year old. After you get to the rope, you go up a bit more and then you start down into the creek. Absolutely stay into he creek bed, don't go up to the left, I've seen some people in sticky situations up there. You can play around in the rocks and boulder or go all the way to the caves. To get into the caves you need to climb another rope and scramble in the loose rocks. It's a good experience in the caves but can be scary climbing up and out. Great views and fun. Lots of little water pools. In 2024 they added a parking lot across the highway instead of parking in th ditch. There is a pit toilet in the lot too.

Fantastic trail following creek bed which was frozen and slippery beautiful scenery and there are hoodoos on this trail as well and a cave following a scramble, good family hike just watch your footing on the Rocks they are large size and would be easy to roll your ankle,We started off on Abraham lake and the wind was not very nice but by the time we were in the trail/creek bed we were suddenly in calm beautiful surroundings. My guess is in summer would be more attentive to bad weather because it could possibly flash flood down this creek there are massive boulders pushed around in there.

Great hike in a creek bed with a trail in the trees as well. The hoodoo is incredible. There are two caves and one is very big! It is a steep climb on very loose gravel to get to them. A couple of ropes there are a little helpful. On our trip, there was no parking lot for this trail, but it looked like they had just started work on one across the hwy. No bathrooms. No trailhead marker or map. Not a good trail for dogs.

This is the Hoodoo trail hike that you will find by turning into the Hoodoo Creek campground. We loved this hike and being so close to the hoodoos. You will find the trail markers fairly easily and warnings on the trail itself. There are some very steep sections of the hike through the forest and way above the creek below. Trail is well marked though and you have no chance of getting lost. It is advertised as a 2.5 hour hike, but it won't take that long if you are in decent fitness and have already done some hiking in the park. It is a 325 metre elevation gain that occurs over a relatively short area. Bring hiking poles if you want. There are a number of switchbacks due to the steepness of the trail. Take the trail to the Upper Viewpoint! The views of the hoodoos are spectacular and you have awesome photo opportunities from many different angles. We spent about two hours in total of hiking. Totally...

A really gratifying short hike. We brought our kids (4 and 6) and there were a couple spots that were very challenging / intimidating for them. One particularly steep slope has a rope that someone thoughtfully left to help with getting up. We found going down to be safer / more straightforward for us sticking to the loose scree on the right of the path instead of trying to use the rope with our kids. We only hiked as far as the hoodoos this time, and we really enjoyed the day - great views, boulders to climb / play on, water to splash in. If your kiddos (and you) aren't confident hikers / wearing good shoes, this might not be the...
