This place does not feel like Alberta or from this earth. Walking on Mars would be the closest thing to it.several trails to walk around and explore. There’s a large parking lot, with several gift shops and food options which are all unfortunately closed for the winter. When I visited on a Wednesday, I was the only one there. Amazing view of the drumheller and Hoodoos reformation is so unique. Definitely do not miss out on this if you’re visiting drumheller. the sand is pretty red so be careful with your clothes, also the hill can get icy. Make sure to spend some time there to see the sun move and how the shadows play on these hoodoos rocks.

Wooden ramps and stairs are built now in the area to reduce traffic on the hoodoos directly. Small gravel parking lot with a food truck/ ice cream stand & portapotties on site. Only a few spots where you can take a picture without the walkways in view unless you walk up higher. Erosion either because of natural or human impact on the area is quite significant compared to when I saw these last about 9 years ago when there was no one there but us. This time 2 tour buses and a full parking lot of cars. Hopefully the hoodoos won't continue to lose their natural beauty.

A wonderful and curious sight and place to see. The natural structures are interesting and can feel out of this world. It’s a unique place. Be ready for some climbing if you’re really the adventure-goer, and take the challenge of climbing as far as you can. If you’re a nature buff, then consider this like a hike in the mountain, especially given the steep parts, even if it’s not as tall. Overall, a natural site for all ages, worthwhile to go to for fun and picture-worthy

Very interesting to see the hoodoos and get some great photos of the unique landscape. Definitely wear athletic footwear if you want to do any climbing. You can climb up the hill but there is no railing and they have had deaths there in the past as recently as 2016 per our tour guide as if you fall there is nothing to catch you and it can be slippery. For this reason I was not keen to have my kids climbing up the hill.

I have been visiting these hoodoos for over 40 years. The rock formations are stunning and good work has been done to build stairs and conservation areas for this natural wonder. For young kids or adventurous adults, scaling the badlands escarpment can be great fun. Go in the morning to avoid the blazing afternoon heat in the summer. Wear closed toe shoes as it is quite dusty.

The Hoodoos are quite fascinating to see. When I went more than 20 years ago for the first time (I was a child back then) I was truly amazed by them. Today I find it sad to see that it is necessary to build metal structures and smaller fences to keep tourists from destroying this feature of nature. It was quite busy at the Hoodoos but they are still worth a visit.
