We went to Kinosoo Ridge for their Aerial climbing & highropes course. It is truly fantastic where they have essentially created a foolproof climbing setup that you can't get hurt on (well at least not plummet to your untimely death). Your harnass has two clips and due to magnets you cannot unhook both clips from the wires at the same time. There are three levels along with a younger kids course at the bottom. Each level has different challenges. Some are meant to be mentally challenging but physically easy (like walking a narrow metal plank at the very top and ringing a bell), while some are physically quite taxing. My personal favorite was hooking yourself to a pulley and jumping off the top to slowly descend to the bottom. I am moderately in shape and was able to complete all the challenges but one. My parents who are in shape but around 60 were also able to complete most of the challenges. They allowed my 6 year old to come with us on any challenge but she needed someone to help reach her harness clips as it was too high. And many of the challenges were too difficult for her due to spacing, yet she still completed about a third of them.
The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a full 2 hours booked to explore and play and we could have likely gone longer, it was that much fun. There was music playing that was upbeat and energetic and due to their being a large wooden top on it, much of it was shaded.
I would 100%...
Read moreThe overall environment was clean and tidy. No issue with the service received however food is very over-priced for what you will receive. On this day, ordered a burger combo. Burger was 1/2 the size of the bun, dried up and cheese wasn't melted. No flavour. Maybe got 1/2 a potato worth of fries. Noticed that the chocolate bars are listed for $4/ea. I feel like that is price gouging considering they are worth about $1/ea. Later on that day I ordered a Poutine for a friend of mine. There was a decent amount of fries but the gravy wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese and the flavour of the gravy was horrible. Such an overpowering flavour of garlic and black pepper. It tasted like the lid came off the pepper shaker and too much was added. Completely not enjoyable. Ended up throwing it out. What a waste. Biggest and best piece of advise would be to bring your own food out. The stuff you order here is not worth what is being charged. Girlfriend also had a Chicken Caesar wrap. Wrap was dried up, more Lettuce than chicken in the wrap and no flavour. Lesson...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about my family’s experience today at Kinosoo Ridge. The staff (Juanita especially!) were so helpful and friendly with our registration & rentals. We booked our kids in for lessons and they had a blast and progressed in their skills significantly! Their instructor Braxton was so patient, kind, and helpful. (If your kids are new skiers, the lessons are absolutely worth it!) The chair lift attendants were friendly and focused, always slowing down the lifts so our kids could get on and off safely. We had an excellent meal at the beautiful chalet and cannot wait to come back. Thanks Kinosoo Ridge for the...
