Lundbreck Falls in Alberta is a stunning natural attraction, featuring a 12-meter waterfall on the Crowsnest River. The falls are easily accessible, with a small parking lot and an observation platform for great views. There are trails that lead you closer to the falls and along the river, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely walk or picnic. The area is popular for fishing, especially for trout, and the nearby campground offers a range of facilities for those wanting to stay overnight. The falls are particularly beautiful at sunrise and sunset, offering amazing photo opportunities. Additionally, the surrounding area has other attractions like the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre and the Leitch Collieries, providing a deeper dive into local history and geology. Whether you’re passing through or planning a dedicated trip, Lundbreck Falls is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature and relax by the water.

Beautiful falls. Been here a couple of times as it is a very peaceful spot to stop as we transit through Lundbreck or Pincher Creek. Plenty of parking on both sides of the falls. Can use a road to get to the other side. We can walk right down to the falls and in summers, people get in the water for some extra fun but in winter it freezes up. It’s in a very beautiful and calming location with bridges and trains passing by. The whole location is like a scene from a movie with windmills on one side and it just makes the road however long worth it! Never too busy. Has a washroom at the location but not sure if it’s maintained. Altogether one of my favourite falls provided the location and the peace of mind you receive watching this falls! No tickets or admission needed here!

🏞 Those beautiful 12-meters Lundbreck Falls, located along the HW 3 about 2 km south from the intersection with HW 22, are one of the Southern Alberta's landmarks. They are part of Crowsnest River water system that in conjunction with Old Man River supplies vital clean fresh water resources to the small and big towns south and north from the Crowsnest Pass. 🐟 Lundbreck Falls are great stop for refreshing during a hot summer and are one of the locals' favorite fishing spots. Often trouts can be seen jumping out of the water in front of the waterfalls and blue herons standing on their long legs in limestones at the bottom of the canyon, watching intently and waiting for the right moment to catch their fish.

This is a nice place to come to have an overlook of the falls and walk around - not a hike FYI :) but still lovely to hear the falls and the sounds water. If you go with toddlers and older kids please watch out for them as some areas are slippery due to the pebbles and some areas are not fully fenced and they can easily slip and fall. If they fall it can be lethal or they can be injured. I took a picture sample from underneath the bridge so you can see that there is no fence and they can fall if not careful. Just be mindful that they are not running without supervision. Also, in the spring and summer days make sure your bring your big spray as there were quite a few around June.

Lundbreck Falls is lovely. It features the waterfall and a path to walk around the falls and river to get views from different vantage points. This photo op friendly location offers up spots closer to the river if you want to stop for a picnic - be sure to bring your own snacks as there are no shops to purchase food here. The falls are the star of this area and are flanked by a parking lot on one side and the highway on the other, so there is not much else to see while you’re here. It is a great stop point to stretch your legs for 30-90 minutes on your way to Waterton Lakes or as part of a day trip to another Southern Alberta location.

Great place for a pit stop. Been here a few times. The restrooms have been clean, parking in the main lot can be tricky but there is plenty of parking on the other side. You just have to walk back over the bridge to get to the main lot view point. Or do what lots of people do and park along the roadway and jam the traffic from two lanes to one. The falls are pretty cool. On a nice day lots of people swim in the waters at the base or bask in the sun on the rocks below. There are some walking trails that take you under the bridge and you can get down to the river.
