Nitehawk was a great time, we did a lesson prior to hitting the hill and our instructor was great, I had pre booked so she also had all of our gear ready to roll, once the 1 hour lesson was complete my son and I enjoyed 5 hrs on the hill, friendly staff, clean ski areas & plenty of options to avoid the crowds on the hill made for a great 1st time. Also made a trip to the concession and found the food to be reasonably priced and good portions, good experience overall!

Nitehawk has been an awesome experience. I signed my son up for 4 lessons with Hayden & Jay and they have been absolutely fantastic. Both are great with kids and have taken him from falling over to being able to keep up with the family. The instructors, booking folks and ladies in the lounge have all honestly been wonderful. We’re lucky to have this facility!

Great camp. Big trees. Good water pressure. Shower laundry and wifi. Left my site early and management went out of their way to contact me and issue a refund for days already paid for. Highly recommend. Best camp ground in the peace country.

I had fun skiing here. Unfortunately, their chairlift was not operational and the other two tow lifts served only about 4 trails total. A few other trails were closed, maybe waiting for more snow. This place is very close to Grand Prairie, so there were more skiers and snowboards here than at any other ski area in northern Alberta. Nighthawk is supposed to be a hip place for kids so there was loud music blasting out of loudspeakers all along the deck at the lodge, but it was too cold for anyone to sit and eat outside, while the music did nothing for those who were enjoying the slopes, so the music was mainly a nuisance near the lodge. As soon as you get away from the lodge, you...

Nitehawk is a great little hill for families. It's not a mountain of course so it's not really fair to compare it to one. It is also a lot cheaper than Jasper or Banff. There is a magic carpet on the bunny hill. A platter tow for the trick park and beginner run and a triple chair for the other runs. There's also a winter tubing zone. There was a family from Edmonton with us commenting on how much better it was than rabbit hill. AMA card gives you 10% discount on lift tickets and rentals. The ski instructors are excellent with the kids.

In the summer there's a downhill biking club, that...

Went there with a friend to give snowboarding a try not knowing the chair lift wasn’t operating after we already purchased lift tickets. Was about to take the loss and call it quits when we decided to ask an instructor for a quick crash course on how to use the t-bar and he went above and beyond to give us a full lesson on snowboarding. He joined us for a couple runs down the hill to make sure we could control our boards and safely get on the t-bar all the way back up the hill. I’d definitely go again it was a blast and super...
