I had my wedding here on the weekend. The facility, the view, the mountains and scenery were all absolutely beautiful. The golf cart shuttles were accommodating and had some good recommendations for photo locations.
Sadly my low review all has to do with the dinner and dinner service. Both my wife and my meals were cold, which for someone that's considered the "star of the show" and paying the bill was far from acceptable. The servers only asked me for a drink once, and I had to get up multiple times to get my own water. Hors d'oeuvre (or canape's as they call them) were also cold, but the few we were able to enjoy were tasty. Dinner was not very flowing, soups and salads came out then there was a big gap and long wait for the actual dinner. We were told dinner was ready to be served but was at least 45 minutes later when it came out. Bride and groom received all courses first, but was at least 15 minutes before the last guest was served meaning some people were done their meal while others were just starting. (we only had about 24 guests) I had the rib eye steak, the taste wasn't bad, I've definitely had better steaks that are far cheaper. Mine also had a large chuck of grizzle in it, and my dad had difficulty chewing his steak.
For the amount that was spent per plate of food it was not worth it at all. Communication with the party planners was also difficult at times. I sent an email and never received a reply, and my wife at times couldn't get ahold of the party organizers.
I would highly recommend Silver Tip for a wedding if you're looking for an amazing view, but make sure you have a good conversation with them about how dinner service will go and what expectations you have.
After dinner was finished it was at that time staff approached me about my cold meal. Although they made a couple offerings to "fix" the meal, it was far to late, dinner was over and guests were leaving. I wasn't going to sit there and eat alone, and taking food home with me didn't seem like a valid option, I ate one cold meal, I'm not going to take another meal home and eat a second...
Read moreBeautiful course and Excellent food at Rustica!!! However, Very Dangerous maybe life threatening golf carts. We had two groups. All 4 golf carts had very little brakes and poor Parking brakes. They can roll on a slope when parked.
We had very little brakes just heading to hole 1. The road down was very steep with around 5-6 turns. Our carts had extremely bad brakes and could barely stop. So we got my cart exchanged. However it wasn’t probably worse. We brought our two children, we had to tell get off the golf carts every time we were at the tee boxes just in case the carts start rolling on them. The parking brakes don’t work. I can even push the carts when the parking brakes are on. Just driving the golf cart over the 18 hole course was giving me anxiety and was glad the game was over!!!
All the friends who were driving the golf carts felt their lives were threatened by the golf carts.
This is such a huge life threatening liability for the staff working at Silvertip and the customers using these golf carts. If customers who drink alcohol on the course could jeopardize their lives while operating these golf carts with no brakes. Someone could seriously injure themselves on the large rocks along the cart paths let along a life threatening situation.
I will not return to play golf here until the fleet of golf carts are replaced or fixed. I wouldn’t recommend Silvertip to anyone for the time being because I don’t want to jeopardize their lives. ( A cart was flipped 2 weeks prior due to poor brakes - look at previous reviews)
I was advised to write this review by my friends and staff of Silvertip to alert the owners and upper management of this horrific experience. Paying $200 per person over this dangerous situation. It was totally not worth the experience.
Safety should be the FIRST priority for this multi-million dollar operation!!! A golf cart repair should have been called immediately without thinking instead of putting it...
Read moreA slice of heaven on Earth. My wife surprised me with this unforgettable golf trip as part of our 5th wedding anniversary celebration on our way to Banff. Let me tell you, this place is a stunner right from the moment you set foot on the property.
The pro shop is a golfer's dream, stocked with everything you could possibly need for your upcoming round. The staff, well, they're not just friendly, they're true experts who know their stuff. Arriving early is a must here. Not only are the views absolutely breathtaking, but they throw in a complimentary driving range to get your swing in top shape. Trust me; it's worth it.
Now, let's talk about the drive to the first hole – it's an adventure in itself! My wife, bless her heart, was hanging on for dear life as we navigated those sharp corners in our golf cart. But if you're into the thrill of driving while gravity works its magic, consider it a bonus!
But back to the golf, the course was in fantastic shape, and the greens were rolling beautifully. Sure, there was the occasional hole that might've needed a bit more attention, but it didn't dampen the overall experience. Honestly, I wouldn't have cared if I shot a hundred; the whole experience was simply mind-blowing.
And after a day on the course, the clubhouse welcomed us with open arms. The food was delectable, the drinks were spot-on, and the staff? Well, they were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home.
In a heartbeat, I would wholeheartedly recommend Silvertip Golf Course and its clubhouse. It's not just golf; it's an unforgettable journey through nature's beauty, combined with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that you won't find just anywhere. Trust me; this...
