Twelve Foot Davis Gravesite — Attraction in Alberta

A beautiful look-out, with cool historical significance. It appeared that there were a couple of informational placards that were missing, which was disappointing, but the ones that were there were quite interesting. I appreciated the benches on which to sit and take in the view. There are also several picnic tables available for lunching. A very pleasant surprise. A tiny bit off the main road but well worth the time and effort. The confluence of the Smokey and Peace rivers make for beatiful backdrop for photos. 12 foot Davis story is great and i see why he wanted to be burried there. The day i went the weather was phenomenal and early fall. I would love to see the view at every season. I will return if i am ever in...

An excellent area to see a panoramic view of the town of Peace River from a high vantage point. I can imagine this site would be an incredibly beautiful place during a warm summer night with clear skies and gentle breeze. I can't imagine a much more scenic place to be laid to rest than the Twelve Foot...
