As an amateur hiker who prefers Kananaskis, I was dissapointed in the lack of signs to let me know how much farther to go to find the 'great views'. I'm not sure at what point we turned around, as I had no idea where we were. ( Murphy law would state we were probably 5 min from a clearing and seeing something spectacular)

The entire hike is uphill, dogs and babies and kids were doing it with ease, so amateurs and Littles can do this. Be prepared for tree roots, no signs to say how much further and basically looking at nothing but trees the entire way. As previously stated, I am a Kananaskis girl, so prefer some scenery during my hike not just the final perfect moment.

Parking lots is a decent size, with great picnic area if the hike...

took around 3.5 hours round trip to do the C cirque hike. recommended for experienced hikers as there are some really steep parts. unfortunately with the fire smoke we didn’t have much of a view, but got stunning views of cascade mountain. be sure to bring bear spray and bear bells with you as we saw a grizzly bear (no harm done). many groups we passed did not have...

Beautiful picnic area with new parking lot. Lots of fire pits and picnic tables spread around the parking lot and a shelter with tables. The C level Cirque hike starts West out of the parking lot and Cascade Fire Road heads North out of the lot. C Level Cirque is a great hike and Cascade Fire Road is a great MTB ride. Bears are around on...

Very cool place to visit. This is an old mining town, that is now abandoned, where the mine shut down in 1922. No entrance fee but you will need to have a park pass. Plenty of parking. I highlty recommend a visit to this place.
