So disappointed with how this place has failed us this year. My mom has been coming to vista since she was nine, it was always great. Good service, experienced qualified workers, clean facility, good food, ect. All my years going here it's been good too, but this year it's awful. I will say, I have so many incredible memories at vista with my friends, it'll always have a special place in my heart, but I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with how this season has gone. I guarantee, if people knew everything that was gonna happen, you wouldn't have as many season pass holders this season. All the new Zealand and Australian workers no longer work here, who were experienced and a joy to be around. They gave vista ridge so much charm. This year, practically all the workers do not know what they are doing, and do not have enough experience or qualifications. Food this year also sucks. I always loved coming into the lodge to get nice warm food after hours of snowboarding, now I don't even bother getting food here. It's terrible now. Place is always dirty too. Last year and years before that, after people finished eating at a table, a worker came over to clean it up and wipe it down. Literally every single table. This year, you get to the hill 11am, there's wrappers and food all over the table, and by 8pm it's still there. I don't know if not enough snow was made this year, but theres dirt all over the runs, and two runs were never groomed at all this year. Don't get me wrong, I love powder runs but they didn't stay good for very long. Not to mention the two times the chairlift has broken this year, the first time with it taking over four hours to evacuate people, and people who lived near by litterally had to come help out, as the new workers don't have the proper training for evacuations. People had to go to the hospital because of this. And now, the hill is closed (besides skating, tubing and bunny hill) as I'm writing this no reopening date, as they now have to inspect BOTH chairlifts. With all the canceled days due to the cold, and now it being closed with less than a month of the season left, many people didn't get to go as much as they hoped to, and it is certainly not what everyone has paid for, especially season pass holders. I really hope to see this place get back in order, it really sucks to see what used to be such a good place get...

Vista Ridge has always been my go-to for winter fun in Fort McMurray. This season has had it's challenges, but I continue to see so many improvements to the facility. They added a second night of night skiing this year, and I heard that there are some new lights going in on Wilson so that they can add a third night next season. Yes, the chairlift broke down, they are fixing it. Equipment breaks. I think it's crazy that everyone is blaming the staff. You don't blame the driver when your car breaks down. Sounds like they are taking it seriously and addressing the problem. Can't really argue with that.

The comments about the food seem crazy to me. It's cheaper to eat at Vista than at Fat Burger in town. Last year, the food was mediocre at best, this winter it's awesome! Big improvement.

This season they hired a proper park manager, and the terrain park gets DAILY maintenance. This has never happened before and is a massive improvement for those of us that use the park all the time.

My kids are getting into skiing and the instructors were fantastic this year. The hill set up a proper registration system for lessons and camps instead of that weird lottery system they used to have. it was quick and easy, we were able to request our favourite instructor. As a customer, I appreciate that the process was streamlined.

Funny the negative reviews have names is "Dino saur" and the positive reviews are real people,...

Thrilling tubing experience at Vista Ridge with friends and family. Unlimited fun! Tubing spot is down hill from the main building. There are sleighs run down hill every 30 minutes. Riding on sleighs was scary but also fun too. So many people were in the tube park. Kids had so much fun. Very helpful and friendly staff are there to help you with guidance and care. Price is reasonable. You need to book advance online. They are open limited hours. 2 hours tube ticket is $20 including sleigh ride. There are other activities you can do here including ski , golf and more. They have 2 stories very beautiful facilities with washrooms, dining or waiting rooms. You can also purchase food. Lots of parking area for visitors. It is about 30 minutes drive from the city. Highly recommend to...

This is by far one of the best spots and a hidden gem in Northern Alberta. The golf course is beautiful wide n open + the driving range is fabulous with floating balls, preety cool I thought for Mac City to have. The staff provides an impeccable customer service and makes the whole vibe great, they are always upbeat, welcoming and friendly. They also carry 4 seater golf carts which is awesome for a family day at the course. Definately recommend this place for individual, group or family setting activities. Next time will be for the aerial park which looks challenging, so gotta give it a try. The maintainence of the property is at a 💯...
