Very good place for group hiking. I went there because of the school’s field trip and it was actually quite good.
The air was fresh and the environment was comfortable. We walked long and far into the woods, we saw aspen woods, some berry trees and spiders. Then we passed by Elbow River. There were Ducks! I don’t know which lake was exactly the place I had my lunch but we saw 2 Canadian Geese swimming freely! How cute it was.
I do not recommend bringing elderly as the way back up to the parking lot was long and steep. There were muddy floors and unmelted ice but I’m sure they will disappear and return to...
Read moreThis a gem of a spot in Calgary. A steep incline to enter or leave but the area is lovely. Nice bridge leading you to a rather expansive walking area.
Just be wary of the undetonated explosives! Lots of little paths to take, a nude beach that people do use and many spots to view the water.
