This a gem of a spot in Calgary. A steep incline to enter or leave but the area is lovely. Nice bridge leading you to a rather expansive walking area. Just be wary of the undetonated explosives! Lots of little paths to take, a nude beach that people do use and many spots to view the water. It’s really quite a great area to walk through and well worth the visit. Nice natural spot in the city.

Beautiful trail at the head of Glenmore dam. Lots of photo opportunities. Well travelled so safe to walk. Somewhat steep hill down and back up but very manageable. All paved. Can walk to South Glenmore from the northside and vice versa or do a complete long loop of Glenmore Dam. Lovely! Be alert for bikes and stay to the right.

One of the best trails in the city of Calgary, no need to drive out of the city. It's in the centre of the urban area, yet you may have the same experience as Kananaskis or Banff. There are all kinds of paths in this trail. And there are lots of opportunities to see wildlife like beavers or birds .

Very good place for group hiking. I went there because of the school’s field trip and it was actually quite good.

The air was fresh and the environment was comfortable. We walked long and far into the woods, we saw aspen woods, some berry trees and spiders. Then we passed by Elbow River. There were Ducks! I don’t know which lake was exactly the place I had my lunch but we saw 2 Canadian Geese swimming freely! How cute it was.

I do not recommend bringing elderly as the way back up to the parking lot was long and steep. There were muddy floors and unmelted ice but I’m sure they will disappear and return to...

Our favorite walking path. Amazing vista's clean and very well maintained. If you go earlier in the day there is less foot and bike traffic. You can also see a variety of wildlife. Lots of leaves to sit and enjoy the view. Some hills can be a hard climb for people with mobility issues. Nicely shaded areas. Watch the swallows near one of the brides. Lots of wildflowers and...
