The park is just off a paved hiway, situated on the shore of Winagami lake. The park and grounds are reasonably well kept and patrolled regularly by conservation and parks staff. The sites are large and there is privacy between the sites. there are a few for a small group as well, if someone wanted to have say 3 units together, there is also a group only area. There is a large clean shower house with flush toilets and running water, although the outhouses are nice enough. There used to be a kids wading pool but it was closed due to vandalism and upkeep issues. There is only a single boat launch here, and 3 floating docks to tie off to while you load up the family. There are fish here and the lake is also decent to tow skiers and tubers. I come here with my family frequently. Maclennan is about 17km and High Prairie is also close. If you need it... Maclennan would be the better choice for a trip to...

We went to check the place out and have a picnic. There are a ton of washrooms everywhere. They are wooden buildings that house outhouses. They seem well maintained.

I wouldn't try to swim in the lake. At least not from shore. Too much grass and algae. But there is an area with a bunch of sand. Volleyball net as well.

Some walking trails. We couldn't go very far though, all the rain recently has flooded some of the trails.

While exploring we could see some of the camping spot. They look nice, might try that sometime.

It has a playground, my daughter freaked out from all the spiders. But the playground is quite nice.

We are excited to explore...

Not happy at all, rented the group area in January, we paid over $800, grass was not cut, no wood in the wood shed, the outhouse was disgusting, broken seat and not cleaned màde you gag when you entered we had to clean it ourselves before anyone could use it. I would not recommend the cleaning crew that came in 1 time and spent 5 minutes in the facility and left, it was no better, they came a couple of days later and just drove through.😣😤👎👎👎we will never rent the group site here again. No one stopped to ask if everything was good. Would not recommend, very disappointing, because the fishing is great and so is the...

Nice campground with a lot of private sites. Decent outhouses, nice shower building and friendly staff. As it's not really a swimming lake the wading pool is a great addition for kids to enjoy on hot days. Powered sites available and a sani-dump at the entrance, and water taps at convenient spots. Only downer would be the bugs, though we weren't bothered much.

Would recommend Winagami for a weekend getaway if you are in the area. Very nice and spacious and surrounded by lovely bush. Here for August long and it was busy but everyone was nice and respectful, good lake to kayak on.

One of my favorite camp sites! It is really a unique set up and the showers are a plus as well. Catch lots of pike off the shore.
