Dennis Lake Recreation Site - Smithers — Attraction in Area A (Hudson Bay Mountain)

Of the 5 lakes, 3 rivers and an ocean that we stayed at on this family trip, this was unanimously our favourite spot! The only pitfall was that there were three close sites in a very small area. The outhouse was adequate. The dock was lovely. Only small trout not big enough for eating but lots of bites. Beautiful mossy forest with lots of firewood, mushrooms and wildlife. The sunset and sunrise view here were incredible! Highly recommend...

It has been years and I mean more than I like but.. It is amazing to see the dock and trees that had only been a seedling now 20 to 30 feet high.. Great little spot not much for mid to large trailer pads but tents and pop tents could fit great. 4 to 5 picnic tables and fire pits as well. Outhouse is kept up and if your interested in grizzly bears we got warned of 2 in the area. Saw 2 bald eagles and lots of fishing jumping....

This is the lake from The Mother. Had an afternoon outing after the film was released where we set out to find the location. The cabin was a prop and was errexted in the spot where the camp sites...
