Tyhee Lake Provincial Park is an exquisite natural gem nestled in the heart of British Columbia, Canada. As an avid nature enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of visiting this park, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations.

One of the first things that struck me about Tyhee Lake Provincial Park is its stunning beauty. The park is encompassed by lush forests, majestic mountains, and, of course, the sparkling Tyhee Lake itself. The scenery is truly breathtaking, providing a sense of tranquility and peace that is hard to find elsewhere.

The park offers a wide range of recreational activities for visitors to enjoy. Fishing enthusiasts will be thrilled with the abundance of fish in Tyhee Lake, including trout, kokanee, and char. The well-stocked lake provides an excellent opportunity for anglers of all skill levels to test their luck and reel in some impressive catches.

For those who prefer to explore the park on land, there are numerous hiking trails that cater to different levels of difficulty. From leisurely strolls along the lake shore to more challenging hikes through the surrounding forests, there is something for everyone. As I ventured along the trails, I was captivated by the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit the area.

Camping is another highlight of Tyhee Lake Provincial Park. The campground is well-maintained and offers a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Whether you prefer tent camping or RVs, there are suitable sites available, some of which offer lake views. Waking up to the gentle sound of birds chirping and the sun reflecting off the tranquil lake was an incredible experience.

Additionally, the park provides picnic areas, a sandy beach, and a playground, making it an ideal destination for families. The beach area is perfect for swimming and sunbathing during the summer months, while the playground offers entertainment for children of all ages.

What impressed me the most about Tyhee Lake Provincial Park was the commitment to conservation and environmental stewardship. The park management has implemented various initiatives to protect the natural ecosystem and promote sustainable practices. This dedication is evident in the cleanliness and preservation of the park, ensuring that future generations can enjoy its beauty.

Overall, Tyhee Lake Provincial Park is a true natural paradise. Its picturesque landscapes, abundant recreational opportunities, and commitment to conservation make it a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're seeking solitude in nature, embarking on outdoor adventures, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, Tyhee Lake Provincial Park offers it all. I highly recommend this park to anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating experience in the midst of British Columbia's...

A very nice campground, each campsite is separated from the neighbors it's they are all very large and roomy have fire pits and are surrounded by a beautiful Aspen Grove. You've got pine tree allergies this is the Park for you as there are very few pine trees it's mostly Aspen Amazing that Canadian Campground hosts can't accept American currency except at face value Canadian. They say things like they have no way to figure out an exchange rate when we all know that a 20% difference would make everything close enough. It's not that they won't do it, it's that they look at you and lie about it. We believe they pay the campsite fee in their own Canadian dollars and pocket the American currency giving themselves a 23% tip that they get by mendacity and coercion I hope my citizen is wrong but this is the fourth time we've encountered this type of nonsense. Who's on the fire it only happens with government parks and government Affiliated employees Still after all my whining this is an excellent park with excellent level campsites highly recommended even though they stopped giving firewood and still charge the same as...

Great provincial park campground. Very well maintained, and are constantly adding more features and upgrades to the site. The “beach” on Tyhee lake isn’t really a sand beach. There a foot or two right by the water, but it’s nice grass from the parking lot down to the water. There is a roped off swim area, and a second beach where boats can land after launching from the boat launch as you enter the park. Camp sites are usually very well maintained. Only 1 vehicle per campsite. Costs if you want to have a second. Sites have a fire pit, thick wood table, and are relatively flat. Highly suggest...

We only stayed here one night but what a beautiful campsite. The bathrooms and showers were very nice and clean. The day use area was very nice and a great place for a picnic. There was a bird viewing platform which was easily accessible and great views. It’s a short drive to Telkwa if you happen to need something. There’s a great ice cream stand in town which we visited and it was very nice as well. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area 😎
