This is an absolutely beautiful lake nestled in the mountains. This makes the water fairly cool even on the warmest summer day. There are a few great beaches that line the shore. Some of the best fishing for decent size rainbow trout that I’ve ever experienced. One of the creeks that feed the lake, “Hanna” is also excellent fishing. The lake turns into the Meziadin river, which eventually flows into the Nass river. Amazing salmon fishing certain time of the year. If you make it to where the two rivers meets this is called the triangles. It is an impressive display of the awesome power of the force of water. This place is extremely dangerous. Read moreBeautiful Area and campground. If staying in the campground some sites are smaller and close together. They line the lake shore with easy access. The lake access sites fill quickly as people come and go. They have power to some sites as well and can be reserved. Services for RV’s are limited for water and sanitation in the area. Best to fill up with potable water before heading to the campground. Sani dump are available in Stewart and at the junction of Meziadin at Highway 37 for $10.
