Nisga'a Lava Bed is a unique geological attraction located in the northern region of British Columbia, Canada. This natural wonder features a vast expanse of dark, jagged lava rock that was formed by a volcanic eruption over 250 years ago. Visitors to the area can take guided tours or explore the area on their own, and there are several trails available for hiking and exploring.

The landscape at Nisga'a Lava Bed is truly breathtaking, and it's a must-visit for anyone interested in geology or natural wonders. The volcanic rock formations are awe-inspiring, and the stark contrast between the black lava rock and the lush greenery that surrounds the area is striking.

In addition to the geological features, the area is also steeped in cultural history. The Nisga'a people have lived in the area for thousands of years, and visitors can learn about their culture and history through guided tours or by visiting the Nisga'a Museum in nearby Laxgalts'ap.

Overall, Nisga'a Lava Bed is a fascinating destination that offers a unique combination of natural beauty and cultural significance. Whether you're interested in geology, history, or just want to experience something new and exciting, a visit to Nisga'a Lava Bed is highly...

On a sunny day the drive from Terrace to Aiyansh is spectacular with notably beautiful stops such as Lava Lake and Vetter Falls. Outhouses were closed when we went and many tourists were left looking for a tree.

There are a number of nice stops along the guided tour that break up the journey and make it an enjoyable outing. There is a mystical otherworldliness to the valley.

The volcano hike has some good points such as the quirky trail along the lake but the cone is underwhelming and also lacking in services. The vent hole leads to an interesting cavern but tours are not allowed to go in it and all we could do was peek in the...

I’ve been here twice in my life. The dive is out of the way and feels completely in the middle of nowhere, but it is entirely worth it. The fishing in the area is awesome. So many lakes in the area. The lava flow are immense and mind blowing. The flow seems to go on forever in all directions. The road is cut trough them in some spots which is really neat and give you a sense of how deep the magma flow was. Interesting history behind it which I won’t spoil in this review. If you’re in the area and have a day to kill it is totally worth the trek to...

This is my favourite place in Canada so far… The drive along 113 is gorgeous and fun. The Road is Extremely curvy so don’t do the drive if you are tired. The landscape with the lava fields, lakes, and waterfalls is exceptional and just beautiful And it’s also an interesting part of BC Indigenous history. And make the drive all the way to Gingolx. You won’t be disappointed. Have some fish n chips at “U see food u eat it”

A wonderful place to visit. The park has many different self-guided tour areas for visitors to explore. Each area has its unique characteristics. There was a volcano eruption nearly 250 years ago which re-shaped the land we are having in this region. The visitor centre has a lot of information and the facilitator there was very knowledgeable.
