Just a short drive off the highway, and then some rough gravel paths, with some water if it's been raining, and then you're up in some amazing country. A naturalist's paradise, with some many plants, birds, and animals to identify. Bring a camera and binoculars. Bring a picnic lunch, but you don't really need to pack much, as most of this area can be seen from your vehicle, with some short hikes to get to some prominent locations.

Breath taking views. The road driving in is about 18km of rough gravel terrain, however, it is manageable for a car at a low speed. The hike is moderate, and I would consider any skill level to be able to complete it!

Such a beautiful place! It is such a vast area so I included a few pictures I took during my trip. Such a beautiful ecosystem at all times of the day/night/morning. All within a 4-5 hour trip from Vancouver.

We felt safe with the very good response from the local fire fighters on the ground and in the air during the hot thunder season. The lightning strikes that started wild / forest fires wete carefully monitored out of Penticton and employed to Osoyoos. We were attending the annual Mount Kobau Star Party with the potential to be ready to pack up our telescopes and be ready to evacuate. The assurance of seeing the helicopters and planes overhead was reassuring that we were kept safe to the best of the fire rescuers' abilities. We are grateful to all first responders for their heroic efforts to extinguish the fires or to keep them ...
