Ḵ̓wax̱wa̱lawadi, Echo Bay Marina & Lodge — Attraction in Area A (Seymour Inlet/Knight Inlet)

While doing a canoe camping trip this summer at Broughton I read in a guide book that showers are available at the Echo Bay Marina & Lodge. However, when I wanted to use the shower there I was told that they were mainly for the lodge guests or that I could be on a "wait list" to use the shower because "they were very busy." When I strolled around the marina I noticed where the showers were and they were not being used at all. In addition, the area did not appear busy. I felt the dishonesty of the staff was frustrating. Stayed here last summer and was not impressed with the service and the staff. When we arrived there was still someone food in the fridge and freezer. We stayed a couple of nights. The toilet did not work, the building was not clean and the sleeping facilities were not comfortable for our guests.
