Amazing views, untamed wilderness. Boomer's Landing Beach has beautiful pebble rocks going into the water. A few friendly nude sunbathers. Bugs are a bit crazy there early summer but if you go to the smaller beach on the point (100' to the west through the woods) there are no bugs. Water is warming and great for swimming. Careful if you are boating around there as a boat got beached on the rocks. UPDATE: The bugs at Boomer's Landing Beach are gone, once again a great time on the beach. Lots of nude sunbathers on Saturday. The Point Beach beside Boomer's...

Quiet and beautiful for a walk in the woods and access to lonely beaches.

The park has a segment with a trail to Pilot Bay Lighthouse, "a rare and well-preserved heritage site on the east shore of Kootenay Lake" from the sternwheeler era.

The main segment has several trails that winds through the forest to bays and beaches and wilderness camping.

Gorgeous trail, amazing view of the lake. I was sad to find the lighthouse had previously been vandalized, and has since, been boarded up. It was my long awaited first visit , but won't be my last. 🥰
