You must stop in for a visit if you are in the area! All of the wines are great (saying this as a restaurant owner), the people are super lovely with great stories and history, the straw bale buildings are cool architecture, and the location is spectacular. What more could you ask for? I will tell you! To stay in the vineyard overnight. They have 2 suites onsite that overlook the vines and the mountains behind. Stunning. Loved, loved, our visit. Oh! And be sure to go the The Grist Mill if you are in town for a dinner or just a tour of the mill and the property. A perfect side activity for your stay! Can’t wait to come back!

Lovely winery in Cawston. One of my favorite of this region. We had thr tasting outside under their massive tree next to the vines. It was a very hot day, but still bearable under the shades. They have a fairly extensive list to try from whether you like your reds to whites to bubbles. The gamay bubbles and red stole the show for me. The red gamay was a surprise as you can enjoy it chilled on a hot summer day and came in 1.5L pouch (think of capri sun)! It was great in the cooler and didn't take up a lot of room and easy to pour spout that persevered the wine after every pour. Will definitely visit again.

The weather wasn’t the best this day in March 2024 when we decided to head to the Cawston area for some wine tasting. Orofino was high on the list. We enjoyed our tasting inside, as It was a little cooler outside. They do have a nice picnic like area outback where they perform wine tastings in the warmer summer months. Several wines were on offer today, and we even pet the dog that was in the “dogs of the wineries” calendar. Check out the photos. All in all, a very pleasant wine tasting experience. This winery is recommended.

A fan of old world wine culture as well as BC wines,, I have to admit I am sometimes suckered in by old traditional looking labels which is what originally caused Orofino to catch my attention as I browsed through the incredible selection at the Okanagan wine centre in Penticton. I picked up a bottle of their Pino Noir 2013. I waited until Christmas of 2016 to open it up and found it to be the best Pino I've ever tasted, and quite frankly one of the best red wines I have ever tasted. Very easy and smooth and yet such a nice and fully flavorful wine. Superb actually. Now I can't wait to go and visit their...
