Came here for a quick visit. Picked some blackberries in the area. Late August is probably the best time for those. It was high tide when we arrived. Saw plenty of of oyster shells and clam shells from people harvesting in this region. We would love to come back and spend some more time here. Bring a book or sketch book. Take a nap. It’s all good. So many good spots on this island....

We went on picking oysters. It’s uncountable. But the taste isn’t as good as the salt spring island ones. The SSI ones are more creamy and sweet. Maybe, because I baked them on the grill but not in the oven. I didn’t bring my thermostat so I might have over cooked the oysters. I didn’t want my family to get sick of undercooked seafood. Best place to pick...
