Limited parking at this sliver of a park can pose a challenge. Wildflowers are common in the area and can antagonize allergies. Marine mammals frequent the waters, and can be noisy and even smelly at times. The area can be exposed to harsh winds. Exposure to the setting sun during the evening can make it hard to obtain solitude and cause uv damage to eyes, particularly as the outlandish colouration induces people to stare. Came here on the advice of a relative. Glad we did. Great rock formations along the beach. Loved the view of the lighthouse in the distance. Seeing it just makes me want to row a boat over to the island and check it out. I’m thinking of coming back here with a book to read or paper to sketch on. A rejuvenating nap might also be in order. Gorgeous views and a pretty, winding (and windy!) road to meander along, or on the sandstone shoreline. Surf Lodge is right there and is a nice place to stay. Also, Chris Straw sells pretty photography cards in a roadside gallery. I've purchased many cards from Chris but the gallery was empty this time....
