Beautiful drive to the park.lil bit hard to find a parking but worth visit it.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Goose Spit Park in Courtney and it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the stunning natural surroundings to the well-maintained facilities, this park exceeded all of my expectations.

Firstly, the park's location is simply breathtaking. As soon as you enter, you are greeted with the most stunning views of the ocean and mountains. The beach at Goose Spit Park is pristine, with soft sand and crystal-clear water. It's the perfect place to relax, take a stroll, or even have a picnic with family and friends.

The park itself is very well-designed and offers something for everyone. There are plenty of walking trails that wind through the park, allowing visitors to explore and immerse themselves in nature. I enjoyed taking a leisurely walk and spotting the various wildlife that call the park home.

One aspect that truly impressed me was the cleanliness and maintenance of the park. Despite being a popular destination, the grounds were spotless and well-kept. The park staff does a wonderful job of ensuring that the park remains clean and inviting for all visitors.

Moreover, the facilities at Goose Spit Park are top-notch. The washrooms were clean and easily accessible, and there were ample picnic tables and benches for visitors to use. It was evident that the park management puts a lot of effort into maintaining a comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests.

Lastly, I was thrilled to find out that Goose Spit Park offers a variety of recreational activities. Whether you're interested in swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or even beach volleyball, there is something for everyone to enjoy. It's a great place to spend a day with family, friends, or even alone.

COVID-19 update (14 Dec 2020): The popular narrow stairway from the base of the spit to Yates Rd. had been closed (at least as of 13 May 2020) as it's too narrow for safe distancing. It was re-opened in summer 2020 for UPHILL TRAFFIC ONLY (one way). Getting back to the bottom is an 800m walk via Yates Road & Hawkins Rd. The onward trail further up the hill from Yates Rd. to Moore Rd. is open both ways, as are most of the other local trails. A nice waterfront park, popular with locals year-round. Best place in town to watch the sunset. The park occupies a narrow spit of land with beaches on both sides and a road in the middle. There's usually parking available along the road and a few small parking lots. The spit protects Comox harbour to the Northwest from the waves from the open Salish Sea to the Southeast. In winter, frequent southeast winds bring waves crashing on beach on the south side. Kite boarders frequently take advantage of the great combination of strong winds and calm waters on the north side. At the base of the spit, there's a stairway up the hill to Yates Rd., then onward to Moore Rd., residential streets. It's a popular exercise spot. The wider land at the end of the spit houses HMCS Quadra, a Royal Canadian Navy facility that's not open to the public. In the summer, it hosts a large...

Goose Spit Park in Comox BC is a beautiful and serene location that is perfect for those seeking a peaceful getaway on Vancouver Island's coast. I recently visited the park with my girlfriend for a refreshing spring dip in the ocean, and we were thoroughly impressed by the beauty of the park.

The park boasts stunning views of the water and the surrounding mountains, making it an ideal spot for sightseeing and photography. The long and sandy beach offers ample space for sunbathing, relaxing, or even swimming, although the water may be a bit chilly in the springtime.

One of the standout features of Goose Spit Park is its well-maintained facilities, including washrooms, picnic tables, and plenty of parking. The park is also home to several trails that wind through the forested areas, providing ample opportunities for hiking and exploring.

Overall, I highly recommend Goose Spit Park for anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful destination to visit in Comox BC. The combination of stunning views, a long and sandy beach, and excellent facilities make it a must-visit location for both locals and...
