As a man who has done my business in the woods more than once, I can say I am an expert on outdoor relief. This unit was situated about 10 meters from the beach down a lovely trail (with signage to alert you of the forest relief station) The sea breeze whafting over your shoulders as you go elimates any of the standard outhouse smells associated with wilderness toilets. No toilet paper provided but with ample rainforest vegetation you have many options for your sanitary needs. Highly reccomend you bring your business here if you are visiting raft cove park.

What an experience!!! Wow, the hike! If you want a snapshot of what Cape Scott trail is like, this is a good trial for that, intense. I feel that the trail could use a little attention, some areas are questionable, you wouldn't want to have to be rescued in that forest, serious old growth. Not a flip-flop trail. Get ready for a parkour experience. Oh my, when you get to the beach..... Wow!! You were just transported to paradise. White sandy beaches(very hot sand, in July), crashing sea. Some brave campers were there, but pretty much all to yourself.

A amazing and secret gem of Vancouver island. One of the best surf spots if you want peace and quiet. Nice established campsites and spots up the beach if you want to be further from potential people. The hike in can be a bit muddy and it’s backcountry to make sure you tie up or properly store food. The best spots on all of Vancouver island are far north and this is no exception

Don't believe the photos they've all been photoshopped or taken from other places far away from here. One of the ugliest beaches on Vancouver Island, I hiked the trail to get here and almost sunk in the mud, after five hours I finally got to the beach and was only met with disappointment, disgrace, and dishonor. Lots of snakes and spiders, smelled like goose poop, and when I finally made it back to my car I had a parking ticket on...
