Brought my daughter and dog to enjoy the lake and found at the dog beach there was no sand for my daughter to play in. The only sand we found was a pne foot wide spot that is in the picture. Also, to get to the water was pretty steep to pull her wagon down and push up. There was one spot that wasn't as steep at the far side of the dog park but there was many dogs over there and with my daughter in the wagon and my dog on a leash with all the other dogs off their leashes it was just chaos to go through that side. Also, not knowing how other people's dogs are, I didn't trust them off leash beside my 13 month old. We looked everywhere for sand and were pretty disappointed that we couldn't find any at the only spot dogs are allowed. Other than that, the water was nice. Just wish there was more option for families with...
Read moreThe lake is extremely dirty, filled with algae and other organic materials, at times you can see a film of gasoline on the water. Definitely not the first lake I would choose to go swimming. The campgrounds are well kept no complaints there. As of 2020 the washrooms very poorly kept. Due to environmental protections the fire pits have been removed from the picnic areas, no more weenie roasts! And the beach has deteriorated as they can no longer dump sand in the lake. The second beach is overgrown with vegetation and is covered with geese droppings because of this it is usually far less busy compared to the first beach. I can't speak for the fishing, camping, hiking trails or the winter activities Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park has to offer. But when it comes to the picnic and beach areas I can only offer a 3 star...
Read moreThis park has two campgrounds and a day use beach area. The day use beach has lots of grass and tables but not much sand. Good playground and a picnic shelter tucked away in the trees. Lots of parking as well. There is a concrete boat launch and fishing dock. Difficult to park RV at beach parking. Good trail to beach from campgrounds. The Lakeside campground is older style with back-in classic BC Parks sites, good privacy, shade, nice tables and fairly level. The Touring campground looks like it is designed for RV’s with what looks like pull-thru sites, very little privacy and away from the lake. We chose the Lakeside campground and had no trouble with our 31ft motorhome. There is a large, new, clean, with flush toilets, pay showers, and outdoor sink for dishes. Bring Canadian $1 coin...
