In general all sites a pretty great. They are all well sized and have fairly thick trees for privacy. Some sites are more heavily treed but in general it's a very nice campground. We really appreciated the privacy and how quiet it is. We were there for the august long weekend and had no issues with any rowdy people. The great: Well sized sites Outhouses and flush washrooms Shower house with a family shower with a hand held shower head. Very handy for squirmy children Tentative campground attendants Close to Revelstoke but not too close. So easy access for shopping trips and Ice. Sutherland falls which is a Waterfall within walking distance. Lots of hikes and activities nearby. Such as the pipe ride and enchanted forest. Lots of lakes for fishing too.

The bad: We found having young children 2 and 5 years old at this campground to be a bit hard. They need more outhouses populated throughout the grounds. The bathrooms are a fair distance for a 2 year old to try to get to without an accident. We found that to be quite frustrating. Also because it was so well treed a little one just wandering off was an issue because you couldn't see them and if they buggered off it was easy to lose them. So it was worrisome to let our 5 year old to ride her bike long distances like she could at other campgrounds. The mosquitos were horrendous and it's been a bad year for them. But because the day use area has stagnant water I think it makes it a great breeding ground for them. The nature hike was awful. Unless you have a whole mosquito netting covering you or enjoy looking like you have the measles. Don't bother. My son had 10 on his face alone and it's far too bumpy from big roots to try to bike down too. We made it through but not without a lot of irritation. My 2 year old kept tripping ad needing to be carried and even the 5 year old was complaining which she doesn't usually when we are adventuring. The dog wasn't allowed in the day use are but they have a dog beach but unfortunately the beach is mostly rocks and branches and not nice for the kids to play in so either you can appease your children or your dog. The day use and playground are quite walk from the campsites. Took us probably 10 minutes from ours to and then another 10 back. Where again I had to carry the 2 year old to get out of the bad mosquitos as fast...

Great provincial campground! Please note that there is no cell service! Tons of hiking around, sutherland falls, the homestead site, the dog beach, up above by the 2nd bridge, and a nature trail! There are first come first serve sites as well, along with tons of reserveable sites. There is bear sighting signs at the main office and by the showers with the most recent bear sightings. The lagoon is cold but the day use area is wonderful! The playground is newer and outhouses are around as well and trails connecting from the campground to the day use area and lots of trails to go biking, paved and not. The bathrooms have flush toilets, free showers, power, a outdoor sink for washing dishes or whatever you need to do! There are flush outhouse looking toilets around the campground as well as pit toilets. There is a dog beach as well for dogs and very friendly park operators are always around to ask any questions :) Close to Revelstoke and to the Arrow Lakes ferry that takes you to Nakusp, Trout Lake or anywhere else in the kootneys. There is a sani dump that you need to purchase a token for $5 at the main office and potable and drinking water as well. There is water around the campground for free filling jugs or whatever as well, dumping stations for dish water and bear proof food stashes as well. We were here in July and have camped here for years and the bugs were so bad! Not just during the night the day unfortunately as well so cover up!If you go thick into the bush you will get eaten alive by mousquitos so stay outta the thick brush and the bush! Will be back for...

Access to the park is via a .6 Km switch back road from highway 23 south of Revelstoke. It is pavement all the way. Signage is adequate. The Parameter roads are big rig friendly. This park is more than twenty kilometres from the nearest services so make sure you stock up on supplies before you go. There is no park office but there is a self serve kiosk at the entrance. If you have a reservation, one just continues to your site. A clerk does rounds in the evening to confirm your details. Cell service did not exist at our site thus we had no internet. We could not find any OTA TV. Satellite would be difficult because of the trees. The park was clean and well groomed. We did not use the free showers or flush toilets but they were very clean. There are also vault toilets throughout the park that were also very clean and odor free. We would return if...

This park is just off hwy 23 south of Revelstoke BC on Upper Arrow Lake. Due to high lake levels there was no lake shore to access during our visit. The trails down to the flooded lakeshore with steep and in poor condition. There is a small man-made swimming lake with sand, playground, picnic tables, and shaded grass a moderate walk from the campground. Parking is available at the swimming lake. The newer roadways and campsites are raised above the forest floor by 3 feet of crushed rock creating dry, level, large sites with no privacy and a problem with dust. Older sites have paved roads level with the forest floor. None of the sites have any power, water or sewer hookups but a sani-dump with drinking water is at the entrance to the park. New flush toilet and shower buildings have recently been built. Trails are well marked with posted maps.

Went here for Canada long weekend and campsite was very spacious! Great for big groups. There was at least 20 of us including the kids. The staff comes every day to check the campsite and make sure that everything was clean as there were bear sightings along the campground. Sutherland falls is also located close to the campsite which was incredibly beautiful! Washroom and faucet was accessible. There wasn’t any outlet around so bring a generator. I only gave 3 stars as we didn’t get to explore the whole campground. There was a man made lake in it too but it was raining very hard during our stay.. Also, the campsite only had one shower and at that time it wasn’t working so we had to drive 15 mins to the town of Revelstoke’s community center to take a shower. Hopefully they add more showers closer to the bigger campsites.
