I went paddleboarding with a couple friends here. It was awesome to see fish jump out of the water. There was a giant heron too. There are ducks and geese here too.
The biggest highlight is that there are hundreds of turtles near the south end. Please note that you can't go into the protected area.
It is very scenic. The current is very gentle too.

It has a launching ramp but the road has a few pot holes so be careful driving down the gravel road. They need a garbage can there for the lazy people who throw their garbage on the ground.
