What a wonderful experience! I visited Troll Mountain for the first time over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays with my in-laws, and I’ve got to say, I’m impressed. This charming, community oriented resort was a breath of fresh air compared to the big, hectic mega resorts. The parking was convenient, the rental shop was calm and organized, and the staff were warm, friendly, and accommodating. The hill conditions were excellent, our first day blessed us with a bluebird sky and fresh snow, and even the foggy second day offered great skiing. Troll Mountain’s unique All T-bar lifts were a new experience for me, as I’m used to chairlifts, but they added to the resort’s charm. The runs cater to all skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced skiers looking for more challenging terrain. The lodge was cozy and welcoming, with plenty of seating to enjoy lunch by the wood fireplace. They serve hot food and drinks, making it a perfect spot to relax with family and friends. I also noticed they’re working on an exciting expansion, with plans for another lift and new terrain on a different mountain face, something to look forward to! Overall, Troll Mountain is a hidden gem I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area. Great job, Troll Resort!

Every time I step in the lodge at Troll I ask myself why I don't ski here more often. The lodge is nothing short of epic, it's a big cozy log cabin with the smell of fresh cinnamon buns being baked what's not to like. The food is absolutely delicious here and amazingly inexpensive, the cinnamon buns are unbelievable by the way. The skiing is as good or better then any other hill I've been to so not complaints there. I'm not sure if every Black Diamond run should be labeled BD thou. They have 2 T-bars and that is a problem if your a snowboarder. You get a big sore riding a T-bar all day but that's a minor problem because the powder is Divine.

Worked here for a winter season between 2018 and 2019. Great little family owned place. Hildur/Lenn and the family are fantastic. Unfortunately I didn't ski or board but it looked like everyone had a wail of a time up on the mountain. So I'd reccomend going to check it out!

This weekend was my first time at Troll and it was an amazing skiing/snowboarding experience. Being a family-run resort, it is a very personable and welcoming environment. Everyone is so friendly, especially the owner. The history of the hill is interesting as well! Besides a great weekend of family, new faces, pad thai and Saskatchewan fans, it was a fantastic weekend on the hill. The reason I give this resort 5 stars is because the weather was absolutely perfect. Just kidding! EVERYTHING was 5 stars. The runs were suitable for all levels and people looking for new challenges. There are many more runs than you see from the entrance! Make sure to get your OWN cinnamon bun- they're the best I've ever had, and gigantic! All in all, I highly recommend a day trip or weekend trip to this slice of heaven. It's worth the drive. Some insight for future reviews: Reviewing a ski resort based on its...
