It’s really a surprise to realize there’s this massive river under the forest, and the eternal fountain gives some spectacular glimpses of it!
You will be ever so surprised to see a fountain not flowing away but just disappearing again in the ground!
The interpretative information boards were great! There is a little loop that goes past two or three of the cenotes.
Some tips to help your planning: it’s all gravel road and if you have a normal sedan car you can make it, but travel is slow - 25-35km/h to avoid pot holes, rough areas etc. A truck would be faster cell reception is very spotty and you shouldn’t rely on it. give yourself plenty of time bring bug...
