River Stone Estate Winery — Attraction in Area C (Inkaneep/Willowbrook)

I’ve been to over 70 wineries in BC and Aiden was BY FAR the worst wine server I have ever come across! First of all he FULLY lied and told us that Hester Creek’s ‘The Judge’ is $100. NO IT IS NOT, IT IS LITERALLY $50! He doubled the price to make Riverstones wines seem better value thinking we wouldn’t know any different. Little does he know… clearly! He also actually mimicked and made fun of my accent. Honestly one of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever met in the hospitality industry. He even tutted and wagged his finger at us because we live in the area and that was the first time we had visited. First and last because of this useless employee! Definitely will not be revisiting this one! Add on to the absolutely disgraceful response from the company. I literally don’t care how long he has worked there. There was ABSOLUTELY NO MISUNDERSTANDING. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE PATRONIZATION THOUGH! I was with 3 other people and they all agreed with me so what exactly do you have to say about that?! Clearly everybody that works here is terrible at their job and completely unprofessional! In fact I’m not convinced this isn’t Aiden responding because I don’t see a company being this incredibly stupid with its response to a customer that could become a regular. Tut tut!!! We attended a wine tasting at River Stone Estate Winery and what a pleasant time we had. Their General Manager Tim was pouring for us and is a wealth of information, not only about River Stone but also the surrounding area. We easily booked our tasting online and I highly recommend doing the same. They do accept walk ups no problem but there was two other groups there for tasting and because we had a reservation were taken right away. This was not our first time visiting River Stone and if you like bold tasting red’s this is the place to go. Come meet the folks here. Ted is very knowledgeable on a craft that he is passionate about and after hearing his story it really connects you to what’s behind the product. Shout out to Ingrid who opened our eyes to the subtle differences decanting can accomplish. The cottage was quaint and very welcoming. A great spot to unwind after walking the vineyards with a case of new friends.
