Tin Hat Mountain — Attraction in Area C (Lois Lake/Saltery Bay)

If you have a proper 4x4 vehicle this can be a short and incredibly rewarding hike. We drove to the trailhead and the hike was about 350 metres that we covered over about an hour! We arrived at the hut around 11am on a Tuesday in July and we got to choose the best tent pad because no one else was there at that time. But by the afternoon the area was full of campers. The hut is also great and can sleep up to about 8 people. But we loved the tent site. One thing you must know BRING WATER. At least 4 litres per person for one night. There is NO water source! Nice hut on the top into the Wild with a gorgious view ! 🫶🤙😍 Love it. You can come from the Sunshine Coast trail BC. Or by the logs offroad with a good 4x4 and still 300 meters elevation...
