Read moreA beautiful park and campground located along the Sea to Sky Highway close to Whistler. While this area is accessible all year round, the park gate is closed during the winter months. As a result, when I went, one had to park outside the gate or nearby along the highway.
If one goes in winter like I did, you'll probably just want to go on the quick 3km round trip walk to the falls and back. You'll likely be encountering heavily packed snow, and while navigating it isnt overly difficult in regular snow boots, some steeper and hilly sections definitely make snow cleats a recommended accessory.
Theres some beautiful, peaceful scenery to be seen as you walk along the river, and the falls itself is a treat regardless of the time of year.
