Big Bar Lake, located approximately 400 km from Vancouver, is a tranquil retreat ideal for nature lovers. The lake is perfect for fishing, canoeing, and swimming, surrounded by picturesque landscapes that provide excellent opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing. The campsites are well-maintained and offer a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. However, one downside is the prevalence of bugs, particularly mosquitoes, which can be bothersome during your stay. Despite this, the serene environment and beautiful scenery make Big Bar Lake a charming getaway from the city. 🏕🐕✨️♥️

Overall I would give this place 4 stars. The area is well maintained, very clean, clear clean waters, great viewing for wildlife and beautiful scenery of the lake. The staff were extremely friendly and even offered to let us move campsites to a more shady area. The cons were the bugs. No matter how much bug spray they were inescapable. Overall, it would be great if you had a fishing boat and brought plenty of bug spray. It would be a great fishing location.

This place is a beautiful found piece of treasure in our very own backyard! The water is amazing! The Camp Hosts were so friendly and helpful. There are hiking trails to explore the area, the natural, serene environment of acres of marshlands. Make sure you have a reliable vehicle to get to the Park on the 33 km dirt road that is filled with 100's of potholes. Once you're there, it will be hard to leave.

Me and my 2 friends drove 5.5 hrs to go camping just to find out our campsite was given to another group we double checked the email and made sure we had everything right they shouldn’t have given away anything until 11am the following day me and my other teenage friends were stuck setting up our things in the over flow campsite in the dark because of the park rangers mistake we are beyond upset about this and I genuinely do not recommend this site at all if I could give it negative...

This is an absolutely beautiful place. The cabins are cozy and inviting. Excellent place for a quiet romantic getaway with the Mrs. Also a great place for the kids if you want to do the family thing. There’s a really nice trail that is easily navigated and the scenery is breathtaking. If you’re looking for a peaceful relaxing break from the city life I highly recommend this place. It’s a bit of a drive, but manageable. You will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Certainly will...
