Admission is expensive for a small place but well decorated with nectar yielding flower plants that attract and feed the butterflies. We liked the Blue Morphs that are restless and like to flock together in a flight. Their orchid garden is a disaster and disappointment though with nothing really significant in there. But the kids liked the free-for-all turtle/koi pond outside the premises. Adult admission was $14 each and for kids it was $12 for each...expensive for what they are exhibiting to public. The Butterfly World staff and manager also explained to us that they have to periodically import butterfly eggs from Eastern Asia to hatch them for the exhibit.

This was a very relaxing place to visit and watch the butterflies in the enclosed area with plants and flowers. We enjoyed it and there were several kids that seem to be having a good time with their parents looking at the butterflies. There's a small gift shop with butterfly related items. There was also a room specially designed for young kids with coloring activities and butterfly related games to play. Seniors price was $12. Adults price was $14. The orchid room connected to the butterfly habitat area had a few plants in it but nothing really all that special. We spent about an hour there.

Myself and another 30 year old had a great time here. We spent 40-45 minutes in total. Loved the butterfly greenhouse - so many beautiful butterflies, the gift shop has amazing stuff, I got a t-shirt and a magnet, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. At the end as we were leaving staff (awesome woman with braids) gave us food for the koi and turtle pond, which I’m glad we checked out. 10/10 experience, well worth the money (people complaining about price must not be aware of the costs that go into running this kind of space, or must prefer scrolling on their phones for entertainment)

I just came from Butterfly World in Coombs and I am so impressed with the changes that have happened there in the past 3 years since the new owner has taken over!

The butterflies as usual are amazing (go on sunny days to see the most activity) and I loved being on the tropical space and temperature. Nice pond with coi fish and the lovely Samson the tortoise hanging out. (who also had outdoor roaming garden access for those wondering).

The indoor Orchid garden now has streams and many varieties of flowers. And the outdoor gardens are lush with a gazebo in big pond. It's such a pretty space to sit and relax or do the small walk around . The new owner is also a horticulturist, and it shows!,

There are also some lizards and insects who are well looked after and loved, the butterflies are plentiful and the place is clean and just has beautiful energy!

And don't forget before you leave to go down to the big turtle ponds at the front of the property where you can see and feed the red-eared snappers and see some more koi fish.

I highly recommend it for your peace of mind. But also what a fun place to go and hang out when people come and visit. Perfect little day trip with the kids for a...

This is a very nice place to visit. It is wonderful to see all the butterflies up close and flying all around you.

My only issue is I showed up with my autistic adult daughter as her support person and showed the front cashier her Access2 card and they charged me for one adult and one student. I had email in advance to find out if the access2 card was accepted and I was advised it was. I provided the card to the person at the front till and I told them I was the support person. Later that night when I pulled out my receipt I noticed that they charged me the student price. If I would have noticed right at the time I was charged I would have enquired why was I charged for both entries.

It could have been a simply mistake by the cashier but I would hope that all the staff are aware of what access2 card is all about. You cannot always tell with an autistic person what their disabilities are making it difficult for non-autistic people to understand why support...

We saw the sign coming off the highway, and decided to stop. We went straight to the outdoor pond to take a look around. As we approached the main entrance to the admissions, we decided $42 was not worth the butterfly area (3 adults) and turned around. we hadn’t even stepped inside as we could see the price from outside the admissions building. The staff proceeded to yell at us and chase after us yelling “no offence but it really makes me mad when people walk up and don’t even see what we have before walking away.” we apologized and responded that we mostly wanted to see the turtles. (Which you view for free outside) and the staff got angry and responded very condescendingly “oh, you wanted to see the turtles and not the hundreds of butterflies that we have from all over the world?! k.” Super unprofessional and uncomfortable to be berated by staff when we didn’t even enter...
